Calgary was awarded the "Most Beautiful Trees" Award in the annual Stunning Canadian Nature Competition.

This is the 29th time that Calgary Trees has won this award, and the 25th year in a row, interrupted only for a few years by interlopers from Juno, Alaska who eventually admitted that they were in fact not Canadian, despite being seeded in a Vancouver nursery.
